Higher Education and Leadership Management Project (HELM)

Chemonics International Inc. seeks qualified Indonesian personnel for the USAID Higher Education Leadership and Management (HELM) project in Indonesia. Position is noted below the project background description.

Project Overview
The USAID/HELM project was awarded to Chemonics International on November 28, 2011. Chemonics implementsHELM with support from partners: the Indiana University Alliance; JBS International Inc., Aguirre Division; and the University of Kentucky (UKY). The five year project was designed to supporIndonesias Higher Education (HE) sector in increasing its quality and relevance through improved focus on administration and management capacity.In partnership with the Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC) and the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI), HELM provides technical assistance, training, and additional support to strengthen the leadership capacityand increase effectiveness in the following four core management areas:

1.       General Administration and Leadership (GAL)
2.       FinanciaManagement (FM)
3.       Quality Assurance (QA)
4.       Collaboration with External Stakeholders (CES)

HELM works in close collaboration with DIKTI and, by Year 3, partners with 50 Indonesian Higher Education Institutions (HEI). The project is designed to address the USAID Education sub-intermediate result, “increasedmanagement capacity of Indonesian Higher Education Institutions” which contributes to the intermediate result “improved quality of higher education” under the over-arching assistance objective: students better prepared for success in learning and work.”

PART TIME/TEMPORARY DATA ENTRY PERSON
·         Assisting HELM Project M&E team by tracking data submitted from program activities and field visits
·         Conducting quality check on attendance and questionnaire data submitted to the M&E team
·         Inputting attendance data into the relevant M&E databases
·         Inputting pre- and post-questionnaires data into the relevant M&E database
·         Inputting improvements and evidence into the relevant M&E database
·         Obtaining data from relevant online databases or websites and inputting them into the relevant M&E database
·         Following-up with HELM alumni and HEI contacts to obtain data or clarifications on data through emails and phone calls
·         Assisting in the translation of qualitative narratives for annual reporting
·         Additional tasks as they become necessary

Supervision and Reporting
The data entry person will report directly to the HELM M&E Specialist or team. She/he will prepare deliverable report that demonstrates the status of HELM monitoring and evaluation data entry process, as well as other deliverables as required.

Key Qualifications
  • Currently available and able to join immediately
  • Degree or equivalent in administration, secretarial or other related fields
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, and other computer program applications
  • Comfortable translating from Bahasa Indonesia to English (informally)
  • An understanding of database management and data confidentiality issues
  • The ability to work quickly and accurately, and pay attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently under time pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Shows initiative, capable of working independently and as an effective team player

Assignments
This position will be based in Jakarta and contracted under Consultancy service. The period of performance will take place on August 24, 2015 – October 16, 2015 and will be based on five-day work per week for maximum 40 days of LOE (Level of Effort).

POSITION PURPOSE
The Data Entry Staff is responsible for encoding all donor’s information to database
JOB PROFILE
  - Daily encoding Sahabat SOS information to SOS Children’s Villages   Database
  - Monitor all information in Sahabat SOS form and ensure all the   information correctly transfer to database
  - Prepare standing information for debit claim to bank
  - Responsible for the Sahabat SOS filling management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-  Diploma in the field of Marketing/Communications/Business Administration
-  2 years of experience in Costumer Care work or in Data entry work
-  Experience in Fundraising area/Donor Service Area will be an advantage
-  Ideally have some working experiences for an international NGO
-  Ability to work independently without direct supervision
-  Mature and organized, with an attention to detail
-  Customer service and relationship building experience
-  Excellent Computer skills

Yayasan Karitas Sani Madani yang kemudian dikenal denganYayasan Karisma didirikanpada 28 Desember 2001, ole horang-orang yang kehidupan keluarganya pernah secara langsung dipengaruhi oleh adiksi narkoba. 
Yayasan Karisma adalah organisasi nirlaba berbasiskemasyarakatan, yang didanai secara pribadi dan sukarela oleh warga masyarakat yang sanga tpeduli menyikapi ancaman meningkatnya bahaya akibat adiks inarkoba serta masalah yang terkait HIV dan AIDS .

CARE International Indonesia (CII), as an international NGO, has carried out large scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and micro-credit. CARE Indonesia in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) is currently recruiting the following position for its project: JOB TITLE : DATA ENTRY OFFICER DEPARTMENT/PROJECT : PROGRAM/SESAMA REPORTS TO : PROJECT MANAGER JOB SUMMARY SESAMA (Sustainable Settlement with Economic Security of Uprooted People and Their Host Communities through Strengthened and Adequate Mediation Approach in Indonesia) is an EU-funded project that will be implemented by CARE Indonesia for a period of 3 years in Kupang, NTT. The overall objectives of the project is to provide support in ensuring the sustainable settlement and livelihoods for those new citizens (ex-IDPs) left behind in the recovery process through the group’s active participation in the mainstream development planning and budgeting process. The key activities that will be implemented by the project are: (1) facilitating the developmental processes Planning, Research, Implementation, Monitoring, Evaluation (PRIME) at the community level; (2) supporting community demand for government services through village wide planning, groups’ capacity building, technical assistance, and supporting the fulfillment of general needs of the community on development/rehabilitation of water system, sanitation, school and health facilities; and (3) developing income and food sources through group organizing and skills training. Availability of database urgently for project, to developing and populating a project data base and generating reports on the status of established performance indicators, CARE will recruit a Data Entry Officer. This staff will work closely with Project Officer and Community Facilitator. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Working under the Project Manager (PM), Data Entry Officer will be responsible to manage and collecting data of progress project achievement from Project Officer and Community Facilitator or other sources. Detail of main responsibilities and task of Data Entry Officer such as : · Develop routine monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual data collection systems (information to be collected, recording formats, schedules, and who responsible) that record and document observable (both qualitative and quantitative) outputs, outcomes, and impact. · Designing a “CAR (Collection, Analysis and Reporting Indicator Framework” in coordination with the project team. · Assist in monitoring project indicators as they relate to the overall project design, goals, and objectives. · Ensure that all indicators meet Donor requirements (e.g. are specific, defined, useful, and measurable with project resources). · Ensuring good coordination between Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist CARE International Indonesia – Head Quarter and Program Field Staff. · Oversee the creation of a database system that can easily and accurately input data into the system; Funnel and organize the data; Output the data in forms (such as charts, graphs, tables, maps) that are easily understood and useful to all stakeholders. · Prepare and provide routine/scheduled Monitoring and Evaluation reports and ad-hoc reports as required. · Participating on several SESAMA project survey to make sure the data input are right and accurate. · Develop and produce reports of the monitoring data in a format provided by the Project Manager. The reports will be in both English and Bahasa. QUALIFICATIONS · University graduate with S1 in statistics, management, social sciences, or similar discipline. · Minimum of 2 (two) years experience developing data bases with MS Access and/or MS Excel. Must be able to develop reports in tabular format and track data over a multi-year period. · At least 1 year experience in monitoring large projects. This experience should include collecting and coordinating data from remote sites and providing support to staff responsible for monitoring the activities. · Willing to spend a considerable amount of time in the field. · Working knowledge of English. Must be able to convert data collected in Bahasa Indonesia into reports that are in both Bahasa Indonesia and English. · Good attention in details.
