The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a global service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development with around 16,400 employees. The regional project “Competition Policy and Law in ASEAN” (CPL II) is being implemented with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
 
The CPL II Project works closely with ASEAN Secretariat and the ASEAN Experts Group on Competition (AEGC) on promoting the introduction and implementation of competition policy in the ASEAN Member States. This is in understanding that a sound business climate – including effective competition laws – is essential to foster cross-border trade and investment. Since 2015, the CPL II Project has also been providing assistance on consumer protection in Lao PDR, the Philippines and Vietnam.
 
We are seeking one qualified Indonesian candidate for the following position as an:
 
Intern
 
The intern is expected to support the project implementation, particularly national-level activities in cooperation with the Commission for the Supervision of Business Competition (KPPU) and other stakeholders in Indonesia. This includes technical as well as logistical tasks, with a focus on knowledge management and communications.
 
Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining various databases, templates and other formats for internal knowledge management and monitoring of the project (e.g. expert pool, stakeholders, partner contributions, press clippings), by compiling, (re)structuring and filing relevant information, data and documents.
  • Media monitoring and internet/literature research, and preparing summaries or short overviews, on selected topics.
  • Backstopping the organization of workshops, focus group discussions, counterpart meetings etc. in both administrative and substantive matters.
 
Required qualifications, competences and experience
  • Fresh graduate with university degree (bachelor) or with experience of less than one year in Law, Economics, International Relations, Business Administration / Management or other relevant field.
  • Initial experience with international development cooperation an asset.
  • Good analytical and communication skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Excellent working knowledge of information technologies and computer applications (including MS Office and social media).
  • Fluent written and oral command of English.
  • Comfortable working in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • High self-motivation and initiative as well as eagerness to learn new things.
  • Ability to work in an international team and stressful environment;
 
Duty Station: Jakarta
Working Hours: 5 working days per week, 8 working hours per day
Expected Joining Date: a.s.a.p.
Internship Duration: 3 months
Remuneration: entitled for a cost-of-living stipend and accommodation if the intern basically resides outside Jakarta

GIS Intern (Tenaga Magang untuk GIS)
Location: Jakarta

Job Description
The Geographic Information System (GIS) Intern assists in gathering, processing, and distributing routine GIS data and information. As directed, the Intern will generate, collate, organize, maintain and archive GIS data. S/he will help serve as a technical resource for several projects under Indonesia Terrestrial Program (ITP) and help provide ITP’s staff members with relevant GIS data needed to make informed decisions, build capacity, and help implement conservation planning throughout ITP. Work duties are performed under direct supervision of ITP - Conservation Planner (for position in Jakarta).

In particular, the Intern will:
  • Generate GIS digital data, thematic maps, map layouts and other spatial products.
  • Collate and encode spatial data to facilitate data archiving, retrieval and processing.
  • Load and update GIS in existing databases using appropriate software.  Secure data with appropriate backup procedures.
  • Develop maps and related data for inclusion in reports and publications. 
  • Assist in providing GIS technical input to planning, project development, report writing, and related activities.
  • Conduct natural resource and related data research (spatial as well as non-spatial) and queries as directed, including collecting data for logging/timber concessions, plantations (oil palm) and other spatial data needed from various data sources.
  • Perform various GIS tasks, such as overlays and conversion of coverage, data format and projection conversion, GPS data collection/post-processing/projection, data reconciliation, etc., and to perform remote-sensing manipulations, such as geo-referencing, image calibration, image processing and analysis, feature extraction, and produce land cover/land use maps.
  • Spatial data and metadata maintenance
Qualifications
  • Fresh graduate degree in geographic or other related science (final-years outstanding student will be considered)
  • Up to 2 years work experience in geospatial analysis and database development.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work cooperatively with internal and external partners.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficient in learning new software application
  • Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI and other GIS/RS software
  • Ability to clearly document and communicate technical workflows
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with remotely sensed data sources and concepts
  • Able to work and coordinate in an international environment

 MRV (Monitoring, Reporting, Verification) INTERN
 
The MRV intern will assist the Head of Strategic Conservation and Development in fine-tuning the concept for MRV development.  In addition, s/he will assist with developing the concept for web-based MRV and coordinate with relevant staff on regular program dashboards which provide a snapshot of progress and steps towards the achievement of goals and targets.

Qualifications:
  • Recent graduate in Industrial Engineering, Statistics or other relevant field
  • Excellent analytical skills with an orientation to detail
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, able to manage excel databases and produce tables and graphs
  • Good in compiling qualitative and quantitative data
  • Excellent communication skills

Dokter Lintas Batas/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) adalah sebuah lembaga kemanusiaan medis internasional yang independen. MSF bekerja di lebih dari 60 negara, memberikan bantuan kepada penduduk yang terkena wabah penyakit, bencana alam, konflik, dan terpinggirkan dari layanan kesehatan. Dalam memberikan bantuan, MSF sepenuhnya berpanduan pada etika kedokteran dan prinsip-prinsip kemanusiaan; MSF tidak memandang ras, agama, gender, maupun afiliasi politik dalam memberikan bantuan medis. 
Kami mengundang rekan-rekan mahasiswa yang kreatif dalam desain grafis dan familiar dengan media sosial untuk turut berperan dalam aktivitas kemanusiaan sebagai peserta magang di Divisi Komunikasi MSF Indonesia. 

 
Deskripsi tugas 
Membantu mengolah foto, infografis atau visual lainnya untuk kanal media sosial MSF.
Menulis artikel singkat untuk media online dan kanal media sosial MSF.
Membantu mengelola database pendukung MSF.
 
Kriteria
Sedang menyelesaikan kuliah tahap akhir (di atas semester 6) atau fresh graduate. 
Menyukai pekerjaan komunikasi, senang mempelajari hal-hal baru.
Tertarik pada isu dan aktivitas kemanusiaan.
Mampu berbahasa Inggris dengan baik, baik lisan maupun tulisan.
Familiar dengan media sosial (Facebook, Twitter) dan platform digital (website publishing).
Mampu mengoperasikan software desain dan pengolahan gambar (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, dan/atau software pendukung lainnya).

EQWIP HUBS

EQWIP Hubs INDONESIAN INTERNSHIP RECRUITMENT                    
(Location : Semarang)
 
EQWIP HUBS will be a dynamic platform of diverse actors and young people working together to develop solutions to both local and global social, economic and environmental challenges in six countries around the world. EQWIP, an innovative youth serving partnership between Canada World Youth (CWY) and Youth Challenge International (YCI) has brought together a global consortium including UN-HABITAT, TakingITGlobal (TIG) and the Education Development Centre (EDC) to collaborate on this initiative. 
 
Through 17 youth centered HUBS in urban areas, participatory programming will support young people in accessing a sustainable livelihood. Through the engagement of a multi-stakeholder HUB Network, EQWIP HUBS will foster a supportive and responsive enabling environment for youth livelihood activities by providing mentorship, coaching and access to capital. The HUB Network will strengthen the capacity of public and private sector stakeholders and civil society related to youth mainstreaming for policies, products and services. EQWIP HUBS is building a team of energetic, skilled and passionate individuals who are motivated by the prospect of exploring new and creative approaches to solving complex global challenges.
 
The Indonesian intern will work directly with Canadian volunteer with strong support by Training Coordinator and HUBs coordinator and linked with the local partner organizations. The report of activity will be submitted to Country Manager.
 
PositionCulture Communication Intern (1 position)
Duty Station: Semarang 
Priority of coverage activities:
1.       Support Canadian volunteer for Indonesian translation, culture and knowledge sharing, field activities accompaniment including language practice, and transforming the specific task in Indonesian context
2.       Assist the project staff for several activities such as: baseline assessment, data collection, out-reach activity including database making, and preparing events.
3.       Assist the program related administrative task such as document filling
 
Qualifications:
1.       Indonesian, last semester/fresh graduated, interested in Youth Program
2.       Fluently in English
3.       Bachelor degree or University Student in an area that is related to the duties (e.g. English, Psychology, Communication, Management, Social Science, Education or Economic Development, etc)
4.       Having interest to work with youth and experienced active in university organization and Youth networks 
5.       Has own transportation
6.       Having time availability minimum for 10 hours per-week and maximum 40 hours per-week
7.       Having skill or experience on data collection
 
Position: IT Media Relations Intern (1 Position)
Duty Station: Semarang
Priority of coverage activities:
1.       Support Canadian volunteer for Indonesian translation, culture knowledge sharing, field activities accompaniment and transforming the specific task in Indonesian context
2.       Support the office for IT development and maintenance
3.       Assist the program on website, social media and newsletter for design and maintenance
Qualifications:
1.       Indonesian, last semester/fresh graduated, interested in Youth Program
2.       Fluently in English
3.       Bachelor or University Student  in an area that is related to the duties (e.g. English, Communication,  Information Technology, Arts, etc)  
4.       Having interest to work with youth and experienced active in university organization and youth networks
5.       Has own transportation
6.       Having time availability minimum for 10 hours per-week and maximum 40 hours per-week
7.       Having skill or experience on graphic design and media relations
