Position Summary
Execute the GNI OD program (which may include but not limited to: child education child protection, and child health) and ensuring the relevancy and effectiveness of programme implementation to the community in CDP area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct local operational department program needs assessment and surveys
  • Develop OD program plan and strategy
  • Control the implementation of OD program
  • Formulate the recommendation and best case practice for future and other OD programs
  • Develop the program reports and program documentation
Qualifications
  • S1 / Bachelor Degree; Preferably in Developmental Studies, Developmental Psychology, Child Studies, Family Studies.
  • 2+ years of relevant working experiences
  • Preferably 1+ years of CDPs working experiences
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in NGO
  • Good communication ability to actively interact  with community
  • Good skill in computer use ( Ms Office )
  • Fresh graduate are welcome to apply

Terms of Reference

 1.0          READIProject Background

The Program/Project/activity is undertakenwith the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through theDepartment of Global Affairs Canada (GAC), with the University of Waterloo(uWaterloo) serving as the Canadian Executing Agency (CEA). The objective ofthe project is to establish Indonesia as a regional centre of actuarialexcellence. The project is working with a range of key stakeholders – includinghigh schools and universities, the insurance and pensions industry, Indonesia’sprofessional actuarial association, and government agencies – to: (1) increasethe number and quality of Indonesian actuarial science graduates available toIndonesian businesses, uni­versities and government agencies; (2) strengthenthe linkages between industry, government and edu­cational institutions insupport of actuarial science and risk management; and (3) deepen the under­standingof actuarial science and risk management as a profession.

2.0          Scope of Work 

The incumbent will spend a significant portion of timein schools within Indonesia promoting mathematics as a discipline, conductingproblem solving workshops, and presenting the many careers in and applicationsof mathematics.  The incumbent will workclosely with Indonesian university faculty to provide training in theactivities above.  Significant liaisonwith government and industry partners will be required.  Eight to twelve weeks of travel to Canadawill be necessary for incumbent training. This will bea six month contract with an opportunity of renewal based on performance at theend of the six month period. 

 3.0          Specific Responsibilities 

Lead fun, interactive mathematics workshopsfor high school and middle school students

 ·        Promote Mathematics as adiscipline

·        Demonstrate careers in and theapplications of mathematics in the world

·        Demonstrate and teach valuableproblem solving skills at the middle and high school levels

·        Promote the writing ofmathematics contests

·        Translate or outsourcetranslation of CEMC outreach content to Bahasa Indonesia with sensitivity tocultural differences and relevance

·        Develop new outreach materialthat aligns with Indonesian curriculum·        Develop new outreach materialthat promotes actuarial science as a profession

 Participate extensively in additionaloutreach activities

 ·        Assist with the creation andadministration of the partner universities’ mathematics contests

·        Train university faculty in allaspects of successful mathematical outreach

·        Conduct outreach workshops formiddle and high school mathematics teachers

·        Create promotional materialsfor mathematics outreach

 

Maintain knowledge of the national Indonesianeducation system

 

·         Mathematics curriculum ·        Testing and examination systems

·        Report on changes and trends

·        Advise university outreach,recruiting and admissions teams on these changes and implications to currentpractices

Present overviews of and promote thepartner universities’ undergraduate mathematics programs

 ·        Maintain current knowledge ofpartner universities’ programs and admissions requirements.

·        Perform market researchcontributing to overall outreach strategy. 

·        Prepare market-specificoutreach strategies including, but not limited to: developing contacts,creating schedule of activities, and making travel arrangements. 

·        Attend recruitment, education,and career fairs; deliver customized presentations.·        Perform Mathematics outreachworkshops using (translated) CEMC materials and guidelines. ·        Promotion and organization ofactuarial science outreach days for high school students at insurance companies.

·        Organize and attend follow-upevents.·        Organize and attend recruitmentand outreach related trips by various university personnel. ·        Develop metrics, analyze data,and report on results.

·        Develop metrics to determinehow outreach affects admissions.·        Report on outreach activitiesand data.·        Identify trends and events thatwill affect outreach and admissions activities at partner universities.·        Research and recommend strategyenhancements.

4.0           EstimatedLevel of Effort and Timing

Travel: Extensive travel required, including 8 to 12weeks annually within Canada for the first 2 to 3 years

Working Hours:

·        Regular working hours when inthe office 

·        Extensive evening and weekendwork may be required when traveling for school visits and presentations. Mayinclude extended out of town stays

Reporting: Incumbent would report to the READI FieldDirector

Indonesia Clean Energy Development Project

Project Description:
The Indonesia Clean Energy Development (ICED II) Project is funded by the USAID (United States Agency for International Development) and implemented by Tetra Tech ES, Inc. (USA).  The purpose of ICED II is to assist the GOI in establishing an effective policy, regulatory and incentive environment for low-emission growth in the energy sector, while simultaneously attracting public- and private-sector investment in clean energy development.

Position Description:
The Program Officer is a full time position based in the ICED Project Office in Jakarta.  She/he is responsible for supporting technical and administrative matters of program activities.  She/he reports Office Manager and work closely for training coordination with Training and Capacity Building Manager.
 
Roles and responsibilities:
§  Provide administrative support to all ICED program activities in events and workshop
§  Prepare draft budget for events and work closely with Program Team
§  Assist the Finance Officer in verify invoices, travel expenses, report from staff and payment requests from Vendors/Subcontractors; 
§  Assist in logistical planning and execution for Component 1 and 2  staff travel for meetings, site visits and participating in events including airline reservation, hotel reservation, ground transportation arrangements and others as necessary;
§  Support workshop preparation and oversee all details, including dealing with stakeholders to ensure effective  service and follow up
§  Responsible for post event reporting, include cash advance settlement or expenses reporting
· Provide a cordial and responsive written and verbal communication service to both external and internal ICED2 clients for program and administrative matters.
·    Prepare letters and/or invitations in both Indonesia and English for different level clients in an effective and efficient manner.
§  Support the Lead Component and component Team members in contacting the Short Term technical Assistance (STTA) consultants to coordinate meeting and field work;
§  Arrange international travel for local and international short term technical assistance
§  Responsible to manage logistic during event as assigned by Office Manager
§  Responsible for manage event filing
§  Assist technical writing and reporting specialist to manage publication
§  Other duties as assigned

The Swisscontact Sustainable Cocoa Production Program (SCPP) in Indonesia, is currently accepting applications for the position of: 
Program Officer Community Development Implementation
Based in Kolaka, Sulawesi Tenggara, (Job Code: POCDI-KLK),
The SCPP is a large Public Private Development Partnership (“PPDP”) in Indonesia, launched in January 2012. The Program is financed by the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, the International Fund for Agriculture Development IFAD, the Millennium Challenge Account for Indonesia (MCA-I), and six leading Private Sector cocoa and chocolate companies for the duration from 2012 – 2020. The Program works with 60,000 cocoa farming households in six Indonesian Provinces, with planned expansion to include 130,000 cocoa farmers within 50 districts, to improve farm productivity and cocoa quality, livelihood conditions, and supply chain transparency, while reducing the environmental footprint.
The Program Officer Community Development Implementation is responsible to provide leadership, technical and managerial support for coordinating and monitoring of Cocoa Life community development program to ensure its smooth implementation in Kolaka and East Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.

Tasks
               Responsible to monitor the annual plan and progress of implementation of Cocoa Life program in Kolaka and Kolaka Timur, be updated in any potential problems and seek problem solving to ensure well implementation of the plan
               Provide regular update on progress of implementation of Cocoa Life program to the SPM Community Development, Regional Program Manager and other related personnel, and in close coordination with them initiate problem solving actions.
               To serve as a primary contact person for Swisscontact with field implementation staff, as well as for the local implementing organization and other stakeholders, when required. 
               To be engaged and conduct advocacy to related stakeholders at the district and field level for implementation of Cocoa Life plan in Kolaka and Kolaka Timur.
               Provide inputs for development of regular reports (narrative and financial) that required by Swisscontact and other involved partners; including ensuring program quality through implementation of country-specific project review systems and comprehensive M&E systems by donor.
               Coordinate and provide technical and managerial backstopping for the localimplementing agency team for Cocoa Life Program in Kolaka and East Kolaka, as required

Supervision and Reporting

·       With acknowledgement of SPM Community Development, coordinate regularly with Regional Program Managers, Program Officers and District Program Staff to ensure that they are aware of the progress of community development activities and plan; 
·       Provide monthly update on the main progress/update (if any) and quarter reports to the Program Implementation team;

Employee Requirements
               Bachelor degree in social studies, public health and other related development studies with at least 5 years-experience working in field of community development;
               Good understanding on  effective management of community development program with a focus on networking and training delivery
               Have at least 5-year experience working at the community level in community development program including program management;
               Ability to communicate effectively and engage with stakeholders from public and private sectors;
               Ability to develop and maintain wood working relationship  with various partners
               Proven ability to develop and monitor work plans, training plans and implement participatory methods for M&E
               Used to work and live in dynamic and sometimes challenging environments in the community;
               A team player;
               Good skills specifically in these following areas:

Position: Program Officer

Project Summary:
CEGAH is a 5-year USAID-funded accountability and integrity program that works with a wide range of Indonesia’s Government and non-governmental agencies. The program runs between 2016 and 2021. The project is implemented by Management Systems International.

Scope of the Job:
The Program Officer position is held by an experienced staff whose acquired knowledge and skills enable him/her to independently undertake diverse work assignments (e.g. database management, actively engage in program activities, major event/course planning, etc.) and provide advice to more junior program assistants. Work requires extensive coordination with team members in CEGAH to ensure successful performance of the program as detailed in the annual work plan. The PO will be expected to provide significant technical input into program development and manage existing smaller programs independently, while also supporting the work of the technical senior staff (Chief of Party and Component Managers) on larger programs and strategic issues.

Position Summary:
The Program Officer will support the senior technical staff by providing technical support. He/she will provide guidance to Program Assistants and report directly to the Component Manager.

Responsibilities:        
Under the direct supervision of the Component Manager, the Project Officer will be responsible for providing planning, implementing, and reporting on programs. In particular, he/she will:
1.        Handle program implementation of several CEGAH tasks, under the supervision of the Component Manager, including program planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting.
2.        Assist Component Manager in the program planning, coordination and monitoring on task implementation.
3.        Draft work plan sections and  develop materials needed to assist the Component Manager.
4.        Monitor progress of technical project activities to measure performance and results.
5.        Conduct meetings on a regular basis with Government of Indonesia officials and grantees concerning project activities, along with the Component Manager, and represent the Component Manager if/when requested.
6.        Ensure timely implementation of activities, in accordance with project schedules developed jointly with the Component Manager.
7.        Periodically, write reports on the project’s activities and achievements for the Component Manager’s review.
8.        Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Component Manager.

General provisions and limitations:
·         All final decisions related to this Project are made by the COP and authorized MSI/HQ personnel.
·         Any communication with USAID is under the authority of the COP and authorized MSI/HQ personnel.
·         Any meetings with Indonesian senior government officials should be communicated in advance to the Component Manger and COP.

Qualifications: 
·         At least 4 (four) years of work experience, with at least 2 (two) in the field of anti-corruption, development, social advocacy, etc. Experience with development programs a plus.
·         Strong technical knowledge in integrity and accountability in Indonesia.
·         Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and work constructively with a range of individuals, including USAID mission, local partners and government officials.
·         Good management and administrative skills.
·         Bachelor (S1) degree in relevant field of work or related studies.
·         Have the capacity to work both independently as well as in a team setting.
·         Willing to undertake field travel and work under demanding conditions.
·         Ability to establish priorities and undertake assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
·         Ability to effectively address multiple tasks.
·         Proficient in spoken and written English, and in the use of MS Office Software.
