The position we are looking for are:

1.   Programming Manager

Position Overview :

The role of Program Manager is centered on developing and strengthening Youth Venture programming offerings that support young people to become changemakers while helping different parts of society improve through engaging with changemakers. Interested individuals must be able to manage partnerships, (identifying and supporting partners), oversee programming development, create evaluation models for the programming, direct documentation, project manage, and refine the design of the programming offerings to enhance and build their scalability.

The Program Manager will also manage and mentor programming facilitators, who are selected from the Youth Venture network. The candidate will develop and manage strategic partnerships with corporations, civil society organizations, universities and other key partners.

Qualifications, Skills, and Core Competencies Required:
  • Graduate with minimum 3 years of experience in building and managing operations and institutions
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferably, have some educational or work experience in  social work, communications and/or marketing
  • Preferably, have experience working with people of highly diverse backgrounds at all education levels
  • Be an entrepreneur, with a track record of launching and leading successful ventures, either stand-alone or within an existing entity
  • Preferably, have experience in creating system change with youth
  • Have strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • Have strong project management and problem solving skills
  • Have strong interpersonal, relationship building, and facilitation skills
  • Have experience in corporat client management
2.      Empathy

Position Overview :

The Empathy primarily is accountable for enabling the Young Changemakers to develop and grow their venture in terms of venture ideas, play an active role in realizing a world where empathy is integrated as a core principle and practice, organizational & financial sustainability and collaboration among young changemakers in order to leverage social impact. Under the coordination of the Program Manager, responsible for developing program, facilitating mentorship program for Young Changemakers, building networks and partnership particularly with funding/investors, organizing and developing YCM community (regional and national) and linking to global community and network of young changemakers. The Empathy Coordinator mustwithin the Ashoka policies and procedures.

  • This individual is expected to organize and coordinate the workshops that provide information, experiences and tools for the young c hangemakers to access in designing and launching their civic ventures. In addition, the Community Facilitator will build a training of facilitators for the workshops. This individual will also manage the outreach to colleges and youth organizations to recruit the  Venturers ” . 
  • During the Youth Venture cycle, the Community Facilitator will make visits to all of the Venturers ’ ventures to see their progress and support them in their efforts. The individual in this position is involved in all programming offerings that engage with the Venturers, doing everything possible to provide support to help them to launch successful civic ventures.
This position will work closely with the Programming Manager to execute and follow through with mentorship and the YV Network to build a growing community of c hangemakers.The candidate will also spend time developing new client / sponsor partners for the programming.

Under the direct supervision of and reporting to Program Officer of Muslim Aid Indonesia Yogyakarta Sub-field
Office, Muslim Aid Yogyakarta is currently looking for a qualified and committed candidate to fill the following position:

Position title         : Community Development Assistant (CDA)
Report to               : Program Officer
Duty Station          : Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta
Type of Contract  : 12 Months (3 months probation)
 
 
Job Purpose 
Under the oversight supervision and guidance of Program Officer the incumbent will responsible to manage
synchronization livelihood program at the field level & provide technical assistance and capacity building in the community level.  

Specific Task 
The following specific duties
have been enumerated mainly for the incumbent to have a clear understanding of the position and the roles and responsibilities expected. 
1. Conduct assessment to identify the target of beneficiaries and their need relating Muslim Aid program
2. Strengthening the groups by providing technical assistance and mentoring to the groups/community 
3. Managing the livelihood program at the field level in effectiveness and accountable mechanism. 
4. Responsible to assist the groups to establish and develop their business 
5. Assist  the groups/ community to form and establish Koperasi to ensure the revolving fund activity as program exit strategy.
6. Conduct regular field visit and monitoring to the target community relating to Muslim Aid program. 
7. Prepare regular report on progress and obstacles of the program and result of monitoring submitted to the supervisor
8. Make close coordination and a good communication with local government, Social agency and other stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of the program
9. Identify any constraints and issues, particularly in relation to the community and target beneficiaries, and implement a solution focused approach.
10. Assist in undertaking initiatives promoting Muslim Aid’s image and activities in the program region.
11. Perform other duties as may be assigned.  

Desirable Qualifications: 
·   University degree 
·   Preferably with previous experience working in an international organization and/or NGOs
·   Previous experience in implementing livelihood programs, such as revolving funds, koperasi, SME’s activities, etc. 
·   Willingness to spend a significant amount of time in the field to engage with the community and facilitating the community or stakeholders 
·   Ability to prepare quickly concise reports and input database 
·   Computer literate (word-processing, spreadsheet, e-mail exchange)
·   Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results, respect for diversity, creative thinking, and punctual. 
·   Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in team situations. 
·   Fluency in Javanese is required, English ability is advantageous

Job: LifeMosaic Community Engagement and Popular Education Facilitator

LifeMosaic is looking for a facilitator on a two-year contract, with an initial 3-month trial. This post is based in Jakarta/Bogor or Yogyakarta.

LifeMosaic produces and co-ordinates the distribution of educational resources for indigenous peoples. Resources are primarily based on community testimonies; they present complex issues in an accessible and engaging way; and support indigenous peoples right to free, prior and informed consent. LifeMosaic facilitates partner-led dissemination across wide networks to reach thousands of communities. We train practitioners and partners to use our resources in their movement-building work. These builds their capacity to facilitate communities to raise their critical awareness, and organise to protect their lands, cultures and forests.

Work to include: 

·   Develop and implement LifeMosaic’s dissemination support strategy of empowerment films for indigenous peoples, with a particular focus on industrial tree plantations (HTI) and land rights community films.

·   Work collaboratively with organisations and networks working on indigenous peoples rights and popular education across Indonesia.

·   Participate in and where appropriate facilitate key dissemination opportunities at community, district, provincial and national levels.

·   Organise launches of films and other materials.

·   Plan and prepare international dissemination opportunities.

·   Evaluate impacts of dissemination and feed lessons learnt back to indigenous peoples and NGO networks;

·   Train and mentor organisations on popular education approaches, including the use of LifeMosaic’s resources.

·   Take an active role in research and logistics for an upcoming land rights film; and take part in field trips with camera person where appropriate.

·   Grow LifeMosaic’s online and social media presence in Indonesia.

Essential experience and skills: 

Good knowledge of issues and networks relating to indigenous peoples rights, land rights, forests and climate change (5 years minimum experience).

Proven commitment to indigenous peoples rights.

Extensive grass roots experience.

Excellent facilitation skills.

Ability to work from grass roots to international.

Excellent writing and communication skills, in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Able to travel frequently within Indonesia.

Resourceful and able to work independently.

Education: Minimum S1 in relevant degree.

Excellent computer and social networking skills.

Ability to work with a long-distance team.


Desirable:

Experience using tools such as community radio, film or other media for community organising.

Creative skills are a plus, such as film-making, design, music or other creative outlet.
