Frankfurt Zoological Society’s goal is to work with and for people to secure biodiversity in key ecosystems worldwide as the basis for all life and the livelihoods of present and future generations. The Bukit Tigapuluh Landscape Conservation Program operates since 2002 with the aim to secure the integrity of the whole landscape. Main objectives of the program are orangutan re-introduction wildlife protection and mitigation, wildlife monitoring, community development and public education. The regional office is situated in Jambi – Sumatra.

Orangutan adaptation trainer (2 positions)

Successful candidates will work in the remote forests of Bukit Tigapuluh. The orangutan adaptation trainer will be co-operate with staff from the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Program (SOCP) based at the Open Orangutan Sanctuary at Danau Alo.

Job summary	The work of the Orangutan Adaptation Trainer (OAT) is field based. Work will be executed around the Open Orangutan Sanctuary at Muara Danau. The work will be executed in cooperation with the OOS keeper team. The aim of the position is to train young orangutans for an independent life in the forest. Behavioral enrichment techniques are essential part of the job.  Work shifts are usually three weeks (21 days) in the field followed by one week off duty.  Duties: •       Execute daily training session for orangutans housed at OOS •       Execute daily training session for orangutans in the forest surrounding the OOS (orangutan adaptation school) •       Responsible for scientific data collection and data analysis related to orangutan adaptation •       Consult with the Program Director about treatments and techniques used for adaptation (behavioural enrichment and orangutan adaptation school) •       Assist researchers or guests at Danau Alo

ROTA is looking for a Project Manager/ Coordinator to support its upcoming project aiming at providing or improving Information and Communication Technologies equipment in 15 schools in Indonesia in the Klaten region in Java. The initial duration of the contract is 6 month and can be extended to 1 or 2 years, the position can be part time or full time.

Program Brief: ICT for Education - Indonesia

Information and Communications (ICTs) are internationally recognize as an important tool for improving the quality of education and to provide Life Long Learning skills and tools to K-12 schools students as well as enhancing school administration and developing teachers in the various aspect of school functions and teaching/ learning methodologies.

ROTA is launching this first pilot project in order to bring the potential of ICT to 15 schools in Indonesia in the Klaten Region where ROTA is currently implementing a Teacher Quality Improvement program.

The overall goal of this program is to:

 1. Provide access or improve the schools ICTs in terms of equipment   such as computers, software, multi-media devices, etc., related software   like standard office tools (word processing...) and educational resource   such as educational software, teaching resources, etc.
 2. Develop the necessary skills to efficiently use the ICTs to support  and improve teaching and learning. Skills like using a computer and its   software; searching, analyzing and processing information (Information Literacy), the use of ICTs for education, teaching methodologies, etc.
 3. Develop projects and activities enabling teacher and students to use ICTs for education* as well as to connect and work with local schools and communities.
 4. Develop projects and activities enabling teacher and students to connect   and work with schools from other countries

Implementation phases and activities:

  - ICT Infrastructure: a) source, refurbish and prepare computers b) identify and collect resources (software package)

WCE and ROTA will work together to source computer in Qatar or in the USA and to refurbish then, install appropriate software and prepare them to be deployed in the schools.
A specific hardware and software package will be prepared for each school. It will include computers, networking equipment internet connectivity, as well as peripherals such as printers, LCD projectors, webcams, still and
video cameras, scanners, etc. The package will also include educational software and tools, administrative software, etc. The package will be detailed for each school during the needs assessment; it is estimated to
have 25 to 35 computers for each school.

  - Train teacher and other schools staff on ICTs

In order to allow the teacher to fully benefit from the technology, the teacher will be training on using the computers and software. It is foreseen to train teacher according to ICDL modules (International Computer Driving License). ICDL is an internationally recognized training and certification. Teachers will have the opportunity to become ICDL certified
after successfully passing the ICDL test and therefore benefit from this certification and its added value to them and their school.

  - ICT Training of Trainer (ToT)

In order for all teachers in all schools to benefit from the ICT resources, selected teachers trained during activity 4 (Train teacher on ICT) will be further trained as trainers. They will then be required to train and support other teachers from their or surrounding schools.
Depending of the ICT knowledge of the students, these teachers will also provide a minimal training and workshops to students.

  - ICT for Education: Train Teacher and develop projects to be   implemented by teachers

a. Train teacher on using ICT for Education and on project implementation
b. Design of project relevant to the school and close community in collaboration with teachers. Provide 2 small project grants per school (and or provide prices for a competition).
c. Develop, train and support teacher during the design and implementation of the projects.

The Project Manager/ Coordinator will be in charge of:
• Collect information in schools for the initial school assessment and staff/ teacher training
• Assess/ Collect detailed ICT infrastructure equipment needs for each school
• Support/ Organized logistic for deployment, trainings, etc.
• Help with coordinating meeting various organisation officials and arrange for needed documents
• Support tendering and purchase of needed equipment and services
• Contribute to and/ or develop the plans and logistic for the implementation of the projects project such as the deployment of the computers
• Carry out additional tasks as indentified during the initial assessment
• Manage the day to day project during the implementation phase and supervise the project team and Facilitators.

Candidate profile:
• Good knowledge or work experience is primary and secondary schools system, especially in the field of ICT for Education.
• Good knowledge and experience in the field of Information Technologies and Communication such as computer hardware and various peripherals, internet and networking
• Knowledge and/ or experience in Monitoring and Evaluation
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Good knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office (Excel,PowerPoint, Word)
• Fluent in English and local language
• Ability to travel and visit the schools
• Previous experience in a similar role or function.

RPO bertanggung jawab langsung kepada Regional Project Manager (RPM) dan tidak

2. Menjadi penanggungjawab bagi pelatihan untuk satu atau lebih komponen program.

4. Mendukung pelaksanaan program dan komponennya, yang meliputi: Pembuatan bagian dari rencana kerja bulanan, anggaran bulanan, atau laporan bulanan; Pembuatan laporan dan rencana kegiatan mingguan program; Pembuatan bagian dari TOR, rencana, anggaran, dan laporan kegiatan program yang ditugaskan oleh RPM; dan Pemberian saran bagi perkembangan desain dan pelaksanaan program sesuai dengan kondisi di daerah kerja kepada RPM dan Program Manager. 
5. Menjadi perwakilan dan memimpin pencitraan Tanoto Foundation di daerah kerjanya. 
6. Melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi program, yang terdiri dari: Penyebaran survai awal dan akhir untuk setiap pelatihan; Pembuatan kompilasi survai awal dan akhir maupun perangkat monitoring dan evaluasi lainnya untuk dianalisa oleh RPM; dan Penyampaian hasil evaluasi dan saran bagi perkembangan dan pelaksanaan aktivitas program kepada RPM dan Program Manager. 
7. Memberikan dukungan bagi kegiatan program di daerah lain maupun kegiatan Tanoto Foundation lainnya apabila apabila diperlukan. 
 
Kualifikasi: 
* Berpendidikan minimal S1 dari segala jurusan. Diutamakan mereka yang memiliki pengetahuan dan kepedulian terhadap peran pendidikan bagi pemberdayaan masyarakat di pedesaan.
* Memiliki pengalaman kerja di lapangan lebih dari dua tahun yang terkait dengan implementasi program pendidikan/ pengembangan masyarakat dan sering melakukan pelatihan sebelumnya.

Training Specialist – Jambi
(TS-Jambi)
 
Training Specialist bertanggung jawab
untuk memastikan isi materi pelatihan dan hasil pencapaian pelatihan serta
dampak dari program pelatihan sesuai dengan target. Bertanggung jawab untuk
mempersiapkan desain program, monitoring dan evaluasi, pengukuran dampak serta
rencana implementasi dan tonggak ukur waktu, untuk memastikan konsistensi
strategi sesuai dengan program dari Tanoto Foundation.
 
Tanggung jawab :
1. Melakukan baseline/ Survai Pengetahuan, Sikap dan Praktik (KAP Survey) dan dengan teliti menyusun data atau formulir informasi dari sumber-sumber mengenai kapasitas guru dan keberadaan peralatan untuk pembelajaran yang berpusat pada murid, terutama di bidang membaca, bahasa, matematika, IPA dan IPS. Memastikan sosialisasi yang memadai terhadap kegiatan proyek dilakukan.
2. Memastikan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan program sesuai dengan rencana strategi, kerangka logika (log frame) dan rencana kerja and cocok untuk semua daerah proyek. 
3. Medukung pengembangan dan pelaksanaan materi pelatihan yang terkait dengan proyek-proyek dan menjalankan pelatihan yang diperlukan di lapangan.
4. Bersama dengan para Program Manager (PM) dan M&E Coordinator, mendesain perangkat pemantauan berdasarkan log frame dan indikator untuk memastikan bahwa sistem pemantauan ada dan dilaksanakan oleh Regional Project Officer (RPO).
5. Berkoordinasi dengan PM dan Regional Project Manager (RPM) untuk memastikan tercapainya tujuan proyek-proyek yang dilakukan sesuai rencana waktu yang ditetapkan.
6. Mengadvokasi dan bekerjasama dengan staf pemerintah terutama di bidang pendidikan dan staf sekolah untuk mendukung pelayanan pendidikan yang lebih baik oleh mereka. 
7. Membuat laporan bulanan kepada RPM dengan capaian hasil beserta masalah yang mungkin timbul.
8. Memfasilitasi, mengontrol dan mendukung konsultan dalam mengimplementasikan proyek-proyek di lapangan.
9. Melakukan dan memastikan urusan administrasi keuangan lapangan proyek berjalan sesuai dengan system administrasi Tanoto Foundation. 
10. Melakukan tugas-tugas lainnya yang layak yang ditugaskan pada posisi ini.
 
Kualifikasi :
* Sarjana di bidang Pendidikan atau latar belakang yang sejenis
* Paling sedikit 3 tahun pengalaman sebagai pelatih/ fasilitator guru 
* Mempunyai keahlian komunikasi yang baik, termasuk keahlian negosiasi
* Mempunyai kepribadian yang baik, termasuk sabar, bisa berdiplomasi, bersedia mendengar dan menghormati penerima manfaat program
