Electrical / Lead Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

Electrical engineering and interfacing for oil and gas / marine projects including the following responsibilities but not limited to

Responsible for successful review and implementation of complete design, engineering, manufacturing, supply & commissioning of electrical packages for Upstream & Downstream Oil & Gas projects

Responsible to support and develop various tools & techniques to implement to optimize the engineering & project management functionality for the department

Knowledge of power system design, engineering, short circuit studies, load flow studies, harmonic studies, voltage drop studies, transformer sizing calculation, cable sizing calculation etc. using any of the tools e.g. ETAP, EDSA, SKM Power tools

Knowledge of High Voltage (≥33 kV ), Medium Voltage (>1

Preparation of Switchyard/Switchroom layout and earthing schemes

Knowledge of power electronics technologies & equipment

Knowledge of SCADA, PMS system and interface with other systems

Detailed Engineering including Preparation of SLD, cable engineering, preparation of cable schedule, termination details, interface details and take-offs for project BOQ's

Preparation of technical specification, offer scrutiny and clearance for Purchase Orders

Checking vendor drawings for MV,LV Switchboards, Control Relay panel, transformers,etc and giving approval for manufacturing

Engineering for MV switchboard and Electrics for Lighting systems, HVAC, Fire suppression (CO2) system.

Documentation and Coordination for ABS Approval

Coordination of commissioning activities for MV switchboard, HVAC and other electrical packages

Inspection of equipments at vendor’s works during FAT

Ensuring that all projects are handled with the appropriate quality and in the safest possible manner

Requirements:


Degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 3 years and a maximum of 8 yrs & relevant working experience of which at least 2 years working with EPC companies in Oil & Gas (Upstream or Downstream) sectors

Experience in leading a team is preferred

Good project management and HSE Skills

Overseas working experience

Computer Literate

Good English skills

Able to work in an inter-discipline and multi-cultural environment is a must
