One of our clients, a well known multinational sport shoes and garment manufacturer, is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of:

Lab Technician

Requirements:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Mechanical, Civil or Electrical, Materials or Bio-Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:
Fresh graduate will be considered.

Abilities:
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Experience in use of PC based spreadsheets and word
processing programs (preferably Word & Excel for Windows). Experience with statistical analysis software, LabView, and AutoCad, Pro E or other CAD/CAM software desired.
- Understands laboratory testing on raw materials and chemicals
- Understanding or Experience with some basic instrumentation equipment (Densometer, Tensometer, Melt Point tester, DSC, FTIR, volt meter, oscilloscope, A/D boards, pressure sensors, potentiometers, etc.) required.
- Ability to work with and collaborate with other functions across countries, vendors and factory groups

Job/role description:
- Conducts testing on various materials and finished shoes according to the prescribed test methods. Analyze results, uploads in the system and communicate with various functions, factories and vendors.
- Monitors, trains and coaches the strategic factory partners' and vendors lab; ensures compliance to the Nike's approved test methods.
- Ensures the integrity of the sampling and testing process; connects with the Nike category teams on issues and provides solutions
- Assist the Lab Test Engineers and the Lab Manager in the development and testing and implementation of new Test Methods.
