Business Solution & Product Development Manager

The Purpose of Job

* As a core function within the Sales & Marketing department the
principle purpose of the business solution & product development
department is to pro actively support the development of CKB’s revenue
and profitability through solutions and products development

Role & Job Responsibility

New Business Development

* Develop, co-ordinate and implement account opportunities in
support of Oil & Gas, Mining, and Heavy Equipment Sales Manager,
Project Sales Manager and Key Account Manager
* Conduct direct and open communication with customers at Senior
Management level to meet CKB, and customer objectives
* Maintain project communication between involved functions to
develop balanced customer solutions
* Co-ordinate and or assist the development of proposals.
* Liaise with functional process owners to ensure up to date
information is available to be incorporated within proposal documents
and shared with first line sales management
* Manage project implementation and review
* Ensure correct and efficient transfer of responsibilities to
designated local sales team resource

Development of Customised and Sector Solutions

* Develop customized solutions for target customers within CKB
with a view towards further improving services and customer retention
in this customer segment
* Develop target sector specific solutions to support penetration
level in Vertical Market target sectors
* Maintain communication with key stakeholders in development of Solutions
* Effective project management along with relevant functional experts
* Effective implementation of relevant solutions within CKB environment
* Maintenance of inventory information relating to all CKB
Customer Solutions
* Effective communication of available solutions to first line
Sales management
* Gathers and interprets relevant data (costs, productivity,
demand patterns, etc.)
* Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions
* Provides analytical support for projects, new business
opportunities, and proposals
* Provide technical and specialist logistics advice based on
analytical findings.
* Consolidate analytical information and ensure the business is
compliant with Company regulations

Product Development

* Identify the possibility of current products development which
align with customers requirement and company future direction
* Develop products that has good impact on services offers to
customers with good margin
* Develop products with differentiate with competitors
* Present product comparison or recommendation and costing to management
* Prepare technical documents and approval papers
* Prepare the manual handbook of the products
* Lead the training of new products development
* Align and communicate the planning of the new product with
internal related party such as sales, business development, operation
and shared services
* Always review competitor’s products and report it to management
* Drive the implementation of a Product Management team within the company.
* Manage the existing stable of products and lead the ongoing
development of enhancements to support increased value to customers.
* Gather and analyze feedback from sales, marketing, operations
and partners/prospects to set the strategic vision for existing
products and development of new products.
* Manage the execution of consumer research to further support
rationale for product development and positioning within the
marketplace.
* Direct our internal process to define the product strategy,
roadmap and priorities.
* Research, develop & implement a best processes strategy for new
product development, launch and analysis.
* Develop requirements documents and use cases for new product features.
* Monitor the status of development projects supporting new features
* Product life cycle & profitability management.
* Provide guidance and direction on developing new products and
managing the lifecycle of existing products

People Management

* To lead, motivate and empower staff through effective and open
communication, excellent leadership, regular performance feedback and
teambuilding, in order to maximize customer satisfaction, business
results and employee satisfaction
* Ensures the compliance to formal recruitment procedures to
attract and retain the very best employees
* Manages, coaches and reviews employees to ensure KPI’s and
personal objectives are achieved
* Through Training & coaching, ensures that employees are equipped
with the right skills, knowledge, competencies, and empowerment to
delight customers and achieve business results
* Implements challenging but achievable reward and recognition
schemes, in collaboration with Human Resources, which help to create
highly motivated staff, and to reward excellent performance through
both financial and non- financial means
* Participates in the implementation of succession planning frameworks
* Ensures that management are aware of the needs of employees
through the effective management of employee satisfaction surveys and
accompanying action plans, and through two-way forums and suggestion
schemes
* Conducts regular group review meetings to assess team
performance and progress against business plans.
* Promotes the corporate values through active participation in
the corporate initiatives
* Complies with all company related policies, procedures and legal
requirements (HR, H&S, Security, etc)

Process and System Management

* Set up, review and update business processes, procedures and key
performance indicators (eg. profitability by products and services)
within Department to govern customer relationship.
* Ensure an effective planning and coordination with other
internal departments in providing customized logistics solutions in
supporting the Sales Hunter & Farmer Customers
* Provide timely and complete detail responses for other
customized solutions in conjunction with customers’ requests.
* In conjunction with Sales Hunter & Farmer and Operations
departments, developing new products and services to suit customer
requirement, including sea consolidation services, air consolidation
services, trucking services and same day domestic air freight
services.
* Implement the company standard policies and procedures in
respect to Finance, HR, IT and Quality policy and guidelines.

Education & Competency

* FORMAL EDUCATION Sarjana (S1)
* EXPERIENCES 3-5 Years in Business Solution, product development
and Commercial management
* KNOWLEDGE B to B Sales in Transportation & Logistics Marketing
Sales & Account management experience Strong market sector awareness
in supply chain
* LANGUAGE SKILL Bahasa Indonesia & English
* TECHNICAL SKILL B to B Marketing and Business Solution Skills
Communication capability at senior/board level Recognized general and
people management skill
* NON-TECHNICAL SKILL Presentation and Computer
