Using market based approaches SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalysing environmentally sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and climate change.

 

SNV is currently establishing a presence in Indonesia and is now seeking a highly qualified national consultant for our REAP programme.

Currently, REAP has developed several knowledge products that are aiming to support the industry towards sustainable commodity production with deforestation free supply chains and is now preparing the first pilot projects. The focus is now on developing partnerships for achieving impact at scale, in the context of this consultancy our main interest is industry.

A major focus of the programme is the palm oil sector, and for this consultancy the focus on this industry, however, the thinking should apply as much as possible to other a general business perspective on the tools and their application for other commodities.

The main objective of the consultancy is to advice on how these interventions can be made interesting for business, and how REAP should engage companies to convince them to work together on these issues (reducing environmental impact while increasing sustainable production).
