Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR)

The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) advances human well-being, environmental conservation and equity by conducting research to help shape policies and practices that affect forests in developing countries. CIFOR is a member of the CGIAR Consortium. Our headquarters are in Bogor, Indonesia, with offices in Asia, Africa and South America.
CIFOR is looking for Intern – Global Comparative Study on REDD+

In 2008, CIFOR initiated the Global Comparative Study on REDD (GCS-REDD) to understand national REDD+ policy processes, learn from sub-national REDD+ projects, and develop solutions to technical constraints in measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of emissions reductions, the synergy of REDD+ and adaptation, and the management at the landscape scale to facilitate adoption of low carbon emission policies and measures. The goal is to provide REDD+ policy-makers and practitioner communities with the information, analysis and tools they need to ensure effective and cost efficient reduction of carbon emissions with equitable impacts and co-benefits: the ‘3E’ criteria.
