The Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a German international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations.GIZ Office Jakarta (GOJ) is looking for 1 (one) qualified Junior Finance Professional Junior Finance Professionals
· Generally, junior professionals perform their duties in accordance with guidelines defined by the manager, or are under the instruction of professionals in higher bands.
· The content of work and the learning stages are geared towards enabling the staff member to assume functions in GIZ band 4 or corresponding activities in the market,
· This function allows the employee to acquire technical and methodological knowledge and personal and social skills which can also be used in other band 4 functions.
A. Responsibilities
The junior finance professional provides support in
· dealing with all questions arising in this area
· identifying relevant problems and issues and assisting in formulating implementation-oriented solutions
· further developing instruments and assisting in introducing innovation and change
· managing knowledge by disseminating and documenting know-how, experience and information
B.Tasks
1. Finance andAccounting
· Prepare the payment and electronic banking details based on request from the projects after checking the completeness of the documents
· Input the authorize payments into the WINPACCS bank-/cash-book
· Liaise with the bank, handle all banking matters
· Arrange and facilitate regular monthly payments - local and foreign currency
· Provide advice and guidance in financial matters to projects
2. Internal control
· is involved in drawing up the annual internal controlling schedule and reports
· conducting internal control on projects accounting in Indonesia and Timor Leste in accordance
with the Internal Control Guideline published by the Auditing Unit of GIZ Head Office
· Discuss the result of the internal control with Principal Advisor
3. Other duties/additional tasks
· performs other duties and tasks at the request of management
· Immediately report all problems involving finance and regulation
· Maintain filing for financial section and keep information confidential
· Undertake further job training related to her position and duties, if required
. Special training programs shall be Identified and selected jointly with the GIZ Management
с. Required qualifications, competences and experience Qualifications
· Qualification in business administration with a focus on accounting or related area Professional
experience
· initial experience (internship or similar) in this area
Other knowledge, additional competences
· basic knowledge of field-related computer software
· good working knowledge ofITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
· good knowledge of the European language widely used in the country, ideally a knowledge of German
· willingness to up skill as required by the tasks to be performed - corresponding measures
are agreed with management
