World Agroforestry Centre

The World Agroforestry Centre (also known as theInternational Centre for Research in Agroforestry or ICRAF) is an independentresearch institution which generates science-based knowledge about the complexrole trees play in agricultural landscapes and rural livelihoods. As part ofthe Centre’s work to bring tree-based solutions to bear on poverty andenvironmental problems, researchers – working in close collaboration withpartners – are developing new technologies, tools and policy recommendationsfor increased food security and ecosystem health.

 
The Centre’s headquarters are located in Nairobi,Kenya, and research is conducted in 34 countries in Africa, Asia and LatinAmerica. We are supported by the Consultative Group on InternationalAgricultural Research (CGIAR) and receive funding from over 50 differentdonors.

About the position

Under guidance and supervision ofthe Human Resources Manager, the Temporary HR Assistant provides HR servicesensuring high quality, accuracy and consistency of HR administration. TheTemporary HR Assistant promotes a client-oriented and consistent with rules andregulations approach in the Unit. The Temporary HR Assistant works in closecollaboration with other MSU team, functional unit, and projects’ staff toexchange information and ensure consistent and timely service delivery.

Requirements

§  MinimumBachelor degree (S1) in Human Resources, Management, Accounting, PublicAdministration, or equivalent qualifications and experience

§  At least2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an internationalworking environment

§  Experiencein the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc)and experience in handling of web based management systems would be desirable
