Type/Title Full-time/Finance Officer
Project HRRC Secretariat based at University of Indonesia, Depok Campus
Description
Ø The Human Rights Resource Centre is a small not for profit track two organisation established to assist human rights bodies within ASEAN. The Secretariat is based at the University of Indonesia in Depok Campus.
Ø The Position is a full-time position requiring 5 days in a week at the Secretariat.
Duties
The successful candidate shall:
Ø Maintain the accounts of the HRRC, including all ledgers, etc., with adequate supporting documents.
Ø Maintain up-to-date bank balances and control the project petty cash position, including but not limited to:
o Requesting accurate and appropriate wire transfer requests; o Preparing monthly bank reconciliations, issuing checks to vendors;
o Calculating and paying the required taxes and social insurance (i.e. Jamsostek) to the proper authorities.
Ø Prepare financial statements and monthly closing and accounting reports.
Ø Prepare a monthly comprehensive statement of accounts for the Executive Director.
Ø Prepare and review budget, income, expense, payroll entries, invoices and other accounting documents.
Ø Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts and donor reports.
Ø Prepare accurate forecasts.
Ø Prepare payroll and make disbursements of salaries.
Ø Prepare and dispatch the organisation's tax report to the tax office.
Ø Analyse and review budget and expenditures from grants.
Ø Ensure timely processing of payment requests (i.e. travel advances, expense reports, vendor invoices, research invoices, etc.) substantiated with adequate supporting documentation.
Ø Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
Ø Update and inform HRRC on all tax regulations.
Ø Develop accounting, finance and tax systems suitable with the nature of the HRRC as a not-for-profit organisation.
Ø Other duties as assigned by the Managers.
| Qualifications | The successful candidate shall:
Ø be fluent in both written and spoken English (Grade 3)
Ø be honest, meticulous, a team player but able to work under minimum supervision
Ø have a minimum experience of 3 years working as Finance Officer in a non-profit organisation
Ø be familiar with budget drafting and forecast preparation Ø be familiar with tax programme (e-SPT) and current tax regulation for NGO/Non-profit Organisation (Art. 21, 26, 25) Ø be familiar with donors’ regulations (USAID, EU, British, AusAid, etc)
Conditions
The Centre will provide a transport allowance in addition to the net salary.
