Conservation International is seeking applicants for a senior level positions to be based in Jakarta:

COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing an effective communications strategy for the Sustainable Landscapes Partnership (SLP) program of CI-Indonesia, that reflects the program's major activities, accomplishments and targeted awareness-raising needs. 
The Communications Manager is a media and external relations expert who will ensure SLP's messaging and style is appropriately adapted for for key target audiences, such as government, private sector partners, NGOs, communities, and donors, at the global, national, and local levels. He/she will take a leading role in managing communications for program activities and events, the development of funding proposals, and the cultivation of donors and important partnerships. He/she will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and outreach activities of SLP including the development and production of program materials and reports, website content, tools, and educational materials, ensuring that they are packaged in the right context and manner for relevant audiences. He/she will also assess needs and provide training for SLP team members in communications, presentations, as well as providing guidance on implementing the SLP communications strategy through each stage of the program. 

Requirements: 
- A degree in communications with a minimum of 10-year experience working in communication, journalism, and/or promotional activities. 
- A good command of both Bahasa Indonesia and English, with proven presentation, writing and editing skills in both languages. 
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. 
- A self-starter who is able to work well independently as well as in a team. 
- Demonstrated experience in working with the media, especially with news placement and awareness campaigns. 
- Computer skills and experience in relevant software (i.e., MS Publisher, PageMaker, Photoshop and/or similar media programs).
- Experience in use of photographic, audio/visual equipment, graphic design programs and presentations. 
- Familiar with or have some background in working with NGOs.
