Conservation International is seeking applicants for a senior level positions to be based in Jakarta:

TERRESTRIAL PROGRAM DIRECTOR

The Terrestrial Program Director is a senior level position that has strong management responsibilities for the CI Indonesia portfolio of conservation and development programs encompassing biodiversity, forestry, climate change, and green economic development. The Director leads science based strategic planning, policy engagement with government counterparts, as well as program implementation of policy objectives and partnerships. The Director leads and oversees national level policy work related to climate change mitigation and adaptation in forest and biodiversity conservation management. S/he contributes to the development and application of various conservation finance tools in specific local contexts. The Director will also play an important role in assisting fundraising and sustainability strategy for CI-Indonesia and partners within the CI Indonesia-Pacific Field Division. 

Requirements: 
- Master's Degree in Natural Resources policy, science, conservation, management, economics, or similar qualification.
- At least 10 years forest and biodiversity conservation experience, managing and implementing programs in key biodiversity areas throughout Indonesia. 
- Experience developing medium/long term and program strategies and managing partnerships with multiple stakeholders in rural areas.
- Experience implementing community-based conservation programs and ensuring their sustainability beyond project life. 
- Broad and current knowledge of climate science, and mitigation, vulnerability and adaptation strategies for communities and resilience of tropical ecosystems. 
- Strong capability to analyze development path scenarios. 
- Strong network with NGOs, donors, and government is preferable.
- Strong bilingual skills (written English/Indonesian).
