Islamic Relief Worldwide is an International Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. Islamic Relief has a consultative status (special category) with the economic and Social Council of the United Nations is full member of British Overseas NGOs for Development (BOND) and a signatory to the code of conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief. It seeks to promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities through relief and development programmes.
Islamic Relief Indonesia is part of Islamic Relief Worldwide which has been working in Indonesia since 2003. Islamic Relief Indonesia provides service and support to the communities in mandate areas, based on the MoU with Department of Home Affairs. There are some initiative sectors under Emergency and Development program such as Shelter, Water and Sanitation, Health and Nutrition, Livelihood, Orphans, Education, Marines Fisheries, and Disaster Preparedness and Response. Through these sectors, Islamic Relief Indonesia plays significant role in alleviating the suffering and poverty of the world's poorest people.
Islamic Relief Indonesia seeks to hire committed and experienced person for the following:
Position: Monitoring Evaluation & Media Senior Officer
Base: Banda Aceh
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General :
* Collect, evaluate and analysis of reports, data and information from all program / project.
* Coordinate information with all project offices and prepare written report for donors, Internal organization and others related government department
* Manage and organize large amounts of information, communicate effectively and to present information
. Prepare reports and submit to management
a) Monthly narrative progress report
b) Quarterly narrative progress report
c) Quarterly training report
d) Monthly routine report
* Participate in meetings necessary to carry out the work with IR staff, communities, contractors, government agencies.
* Ensure that the M&E databases are updated routinely and systematically
* Ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines regarding M&E are developed and updated where necessary.
* In collaboration with Program Team, identify and document achievements and accomplishments of project indicators against set performance targets
* Participate in the preparation and implementation of special studies (eg baseline, impact evaluation, mid-term review). This may include:
. Protocol development
. Drafting data collection tools
. Conducting analyses and drafting reports
. Responding to media enquiries, new articles/items, Government announcements and other external events.
. Producing media briefings for spokespeople including the Country Director and other senior staff
. Providing media and public relations advices
. Monitoring the media as part of the media monitoring service provide by the media office.
. Contributing to crisis media management as appropriate
. Updating IRI website and Publishing newsletter including Layout and Design.
. Create technical or supplementary documentation, as well as any other relevant duties related to his/her line of work assigned by his/her supervisor.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
* Excellent data management and archiving system
* Excellent IT skills in Programming and Design.
* Skills in Photography
* Willing to be base in areas as organization demanded
* Excellent written and verbal communication skill (report writing & newsletter)
* Fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia
* Ability to work in a systematic and organized manner with high level of accuracy and attention of detail
* Good analytical skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skill with an approachable working style
* Ability to work within a team and independently
* Minimum 3 years INGO experience
