ACF International

Founded in 1979, ACF International (Action Against Hunger) is an international humanitarian organization that delivers programs in over 40 countries. 
Recognized worldwide as a leader in the fight against hunger, our mission is to save lives through the prevention, detection, and treatment of malnutrition, especially during and after emergency situations and conflicts.
Currently, ACF Indonesia Mission is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of : Water/Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Program Manager, to be based in KUPANG/NTT.

Initial Contract duration : 6 months (with possibility of extension)
 
Reporting to : WASH Coordinator

Expected starting date : 2 December 2012
 
Educational / Professional Background: 
Engineering Degree or equivalent in a field related to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, or training/course
specific to WASH in humanitarian contexts (such as Bioforce Institute graduates) + minimum 2
years of work experience
 
Required Competences & Skills :
Applied skills on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects management (public health, engineering…)
Interpersonal skills (team management, communication, reporting, autonomy, pedagogy, planning and
organizational skills, and strong leadership skills.)
 
MissionObjective:
Manages WASH programs (definition/formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation)
 
Key Responsibilites :
·  Contribute to the definition and the implementation of ACF policies, positioning and strategies in the mission 
·  Masters perfectly his project (s) and related stakes, logical framework and indicators (LFA). To have all projectscontractual documents and ensures that his team is aware of them
·  Contribute to the definition and the implementation of ACF policies, positioning and strategies in the mission
·  Supervises the implementation of project’s activities using ACF tools and contributes to and promotes the monthly budget follow-up.
·  Ensure local ACF representation and coordination with other stakeholders within the intervention area, with ability of representing to the local authorities (Provincial [Governor], District [Head of District:
Bupati, and government related department], Sub district authorities [Camat], and village authorities; include to donors when required, follow-up of the funding, proposal, progress reports, amendment, no-cost, etc
·  Contribute to evaluation (internal and external) of project’s effect/impact : Contributes to the definition of external evaluations (opportunities, ToR), supports external evaluators (during their mission),  and implements recommendations coming out from external evaluations
·  Contribute pro-actively to HR management (including national staff career plan development); recruitment, training, and staff performance follow up.
· Contribute to the mission’s capitalization and to ACF communication
 
Other requirements : INGO/humanitarian experiences, good team player, flexibility of taking other roles.
