AMARTA II

AMARTA II is a USAID funded program that aims to improve the competitiveness of the value chains of export and high-value agricultural commodities, including Coffee, Cocoa and Horticultural crops through improving access to credit, information and markets in these three sectors.  

The project will work extensively with local government, farmers groups, marketing companies, processors, input suppliers and other stakeholders to increase the income of the whole sector and the
proportion of income retained by farmers.

Our project and offices are in Medan, Makassar, Bandung, and our National Office is located in Jakarta.
We are currently seeking experienced professionals to fill the Relationship Manager/Special Assistant To The COP based in Jakarta.
 
Relationship Manager/Special Assistant to the COP.S/he will be responsible for nurturing and documenting existing and future leveraging contributions to help achieve AMARTA II project objectives. S/he will also facilitate AMARTA II achieving its development objective by supporting the Chief Of Party in his duties to lead, organize, and manage the project in the a professional and efficient manner.
 
Tasks and Responsibilities:            
 
Relationship duties:
-  Establishing and maintaining regular communications with leverage organizations.
-  Coordination with AMARTA II field team members and Value Chain Leaders regarding project programming and activities related to leveraging.
-  Documenting leveraging using the AMARTA II Leverage Form and all necessary back-up documentation.
-  Monitoring leverage contributions, compiling periodic leveraging tally reports for the program.
 
Assistance:
1.  Scheduling
-  Arrange meetings and engagements on the schedule as directed by the COP.
-  Track external obligations/events/meetings/etc. that is relevant to AMARTA for which the COP
needs to attend.
 
2.  Correspondence and Research
-   Research and prepare briefing papers to the COP.
-   Take meeting notes/minutes when required for review by the COP.
-   Maintain external mailing lists that are relevant to the COP and AMARTA II project in general, and distribute communications on that mailing list as required and requested.
 
3.  Meeting and event organization
-   Provide administrative and organization support in organizing meetings/conferences/events, internal and external.
-  This would include working with the procurement/logistics specialist to arrange and finalize venues, materials preparations, logistics, and communication to attendees.  
-  Maintaining the agenda and updating as needed.
-  Corresponding with attendees on logistics and other needs.
 
4. General Administration/Organization
-  Prepare payment requests, advance requests, and other administrative requirements to facilitate the movement and work of the COP.
-  Perform other tasks as requested by the COP within the general bounds of external relations.
 
Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Secretary/Administrative and/or equivalent with 4 – 5 years of experience in the specialty area. Excellent written and oral communication skills, Indonesian and English language fluency. Familiarity with agribusiness development and value chain stakeholders strongly preferred. Indonesian language skills required. English language skills at level 4. CVs should indicate the approximate level of language. Very good working knowledge Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point, the internet including email and web browsing. Ability to take detailed meeting notes and transcribe that into concise meeting minutes. Attention to detail, with a focus on organization and precision in work. Demonstrated interpersonal
and team work skills. Positive and assertive attitude and ability to work on a flexible schedule, which may involve long days of work during peak work periods as needed with the understanding the compensation of additional time off can be made during periods of less intensive work.
 
Initial duration of assignment is 12 months.
