Conservation International

Conservation International, an international non-governmental organization, is seeking applicants for a senior level technical and management position to be based in Takengon – Central Aceh:

Aceh Coffee & Climate Change Project Coordinator

The incumbent will lead the implementation of Coffee, Climate and Communities Project as Coffee and Climate Project Coordinator. The function of this position is to coordinate the Coffee, Carbon and Climate Change project to strengthen biodiversity conservation and livelihoods in the Central Aceh Regency of Aceh Province. This position is also responsible for ensuring the smooth function of project office operations in Takengon, project management, and maintaining good relationships with partners.

Requirements: 
- A master degree or degree in forestry, agriculture or other related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experienced in project management in a rural development context.
- Experience in forestry or agricultural sector (particularly on coffee, agroforestry, REDD + and climate change issues). 
- Experience in research development, socio economic analysis, and policy development. 
- Confidence and ability to develop personal contacts with the media, conservation partners, private sector and government officials. 
- Experience working with INGO conservation is advantage.
