World Food Programme

World Food Programme, Indonesia invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following position: 

Position: Logistics Assistant (Tally) 
Contract Type: Special Service Agreement/Service Contract 
Duration: 6 months with possibility for extension 
Duty Station: Kupang, Indonesia 

Accountabilities: 
Within delegated authority, the Logistics Assistant (Tally) will be responsible for the following duties: 

Carry out accurate tally on all food commodity movements going in and out from the warehouses. 
Check all loading order and reconcile with LTI, with storekeeper. 
Counter sign the loading order for confirmation of accurate loading performed. 
Check and confirm plate number for all trucks for loading and offloading. 
Update Stack, stock cards as well as ledger book daily at the end of operation. 
Segregate all damaged food arrived for immediate reconditioning. 
Assist the storekeeper for over all supervision of reconditioning processes. 
Replace storekeeper in his/her absences and perform all duties expected. 
Update all records on stock/stack cards and daily consolidated report. 
Ensure that, at all time, an updated stack card is affixed to the commodity stack containing all the required information as per the stack card form. 
Ensure that, all loading order received are proportional to the LTI received. 
Implement the FIFO system in delivery/distribution process 
Involve on the logistics assessment and monitoring delivery/distribution to FDPs 
Ensure the storage cleanness and implement the good warehouse practice according to WFP standard and procedures 
Monitoring the commodities in the storage on daily basis and report to Storekeeper if praying/fumigation or any actions need to carry immediately in the prevention of commodity losses due to pest presence 
Assist the storekeeper on the fumigation/spraying process 
Assist the storekeeper on the monitoring and supervise the security 
Assist the storekeeper on the update of hygrometer on daily basis 
Ensure the warehouse equipment and storage condition are in proper shape 
Conduct physical inventory on monthly basis or anytime if needed 

Qualifications and Experiences: 
Education: Secondary school education 
Experience: At least three years of progressively responsible support experience including at least one year in the field of transport, administration, accounting, statistics or another related field. 
Knowledge: Experience utilizing computers, including word processing, spreadsheet and other software packages. 
Language: Fluency in both oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia. 
Desirable skill: Experience and/or knowledge in WFP’s Commodity 
Tracking System (COMPAS) would be advantage.
