STRATEGIC PLANNING OF UCPRUK

Background
UCP Roda Untuk Kemanusiaan (UCPRUK) is an Indonesian yayasan operating in partnership with US based - UCP Wheels for Humanity (UCPWFH). UCPWFH has been working to improve the lives of people with physical disabilities worldwide for over 16 years. As part of the United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) family of organizations, UCP Wheels for Humanity is focused on the quality of work provided internationally and the development of progressive programs supporting individuals with disabilities. Since 2009 UCPRUK has been implementing a USAID funded project with the initial focus on the development of local capacities for large-scale wheelchair production, the implementation of a local mobility service network, as well as disability empowerment & advocacy programs. UCPRUK continues to develop new disability related programs and will be a long-term program in Indonesia.
Due to the need of the organization to develop its capacity and to have a strategic direction for the next three years, UCPRUK is inviting qualified consultant(s) (team or individual) to assist and facilitate the strategic planning process. The strategic planning process will be conducted from November 28 – 30, 2012.
The output:
1. Strategic planning document of UCPRUK as a basic document in program implementation
2. A three year's implementation plan
Resources and Timing
November 27th a meeting will be held with the consultant(s) and UCPRUK's directors to gain an understanding of the funding levels and direction of the organization. The strategic planning process will be conducted from November 28 – 30, 2012.The consultant shall submit their first draft document by December 5, 2012, and the final document after received feedback from UCPRUK by December 15, 2012 in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Desirable qualification:
The strategic planning process will be undertaken by an independent consultant selected by UCPRUK. The consultant should: 
a) have extensive experience in conducting/facilitating strategic planning process
b) familiar with the project management 
c) have a good understanding of issues pertaining to disability preferably in the context of Indonesia
d) have a strong knowledge and skill in using participatory approach
e) have strong analytical, verbal, and report writing skills, in English language.
