OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME :
Objectives of the Programme and of the immediate unit or field activity
(Overview of the programme):
(1) To support the government in developing human resources for health policy and programme;
(2) To support advocacy on human resources for health development in Indonesia;
(3) To support the government in developing a quality of nursing and midwifery services;
(4) To collaborate with education institution in providing support to improve the quality and
standards in education;
(5) To support the development of pre-service and in-service training in Indonesia;


Organizational Context
Under the direct supervision of WR Indonesia and broad guidance of Director, Health Systems Development, technical guidance of Medical Officer (Maternal and Child Health) and Regional Advisor (HRH), the incumbent will be the focal point of human resources for health programme in WHO Indonesia Country Office, and as a team member will deal with technical and managerial aspects of the work and be responsible for daily operations for human resources development projects and for liaison with MOH and other partners. The incumbent will exercise initiative and innovation in managing and implementing activities at the country level, which requires contacts with various stakeholders (national agencies, NGOs, UN organizations, bilateral and multilateral agencies).

MAIN DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED:
The incumbent will carry out the following duties: 
1)Support implementation and monitoring of Clinical Performances Development and Management System (CPDMS), 
2) support formulation and implementation of Nursing and Midwifery’s clinical teaching guideline;
3) facilitate Health education institutions’ monitoring and supervision mechanism which would integrate the Ministry of Health and Ministry of National Education monitoring and supervision system; 
4) support formulation and implementation on a Model of license test system for nursing and midwifery; 5) support the finalisation of Nursing and midwifery Act; 
6) support development Information Management System for Human Resources for Health in Board of Development and Empowerment of Human Resources for health (BPPSDM) for its implementation; 
7) support development of new curriculum which are aligned with the education process amp; service delivery needs.

Education Qualifications: Essential: University degree in medicine or in public health or other health related field.

Experience: Essential: Minimum 3 years of experience in HRH, nursing and midwifery programme

Languages: Excellent knowledge of English and Intermediate knowledge of Indonesian
Other Skills (e.g. IT): Good communication skills and ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Computer literacy in internet and email, data analysis, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.
