World Food Programme, Indonesia invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following position:
Position : Information Technology Assistant
Contract Type : Service Contract
Duration : 6 months with possibility for extension
Duty Station : Kupang - Indonesia
Accountabilities: Within delegated authority, the IT Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
Provide hardware and software trouble shooting support in the sub office both for IT and TC issues and liaise with the appropriate ICT Assistant at the Country Office whenever is required;
Maintain inventory material and/or database of information, such as, computer related equipment, communications equipment, shared folders in the sub office;
Maintain logs or archives of information, such as computer related logs, directories, etc in the sub office;
Maintain all operating system, e-mail system, Microsoft Office Applications and anti virus to ensure its compliance with registration and updates;
Assist in the deployment/dissemination of standard material, such as computer hardware, and/or software, applications, programs, directories, etc;
Assist in the maintenance of systems and equipment by carrying out routine tasks and minor required repairs, such as backing up data, monitoring network and systems, servers and peripherals, running system diagnostics, patch management and system optimization, removing viruses, spam and bad data, etc;
Assist in training and support of users of technology and systems, such as audio conferences, meetings, databases, registries, emails, networks, radio communications etc;
Maintain information database such as radio call signs, cell-phone and telephone numbers of WFP staff and other UN agencies;
Conduct physical count and provide an updated inventory list on regular basis for AMD ICT Focal Point at Country Office;
Assist in graphic design such banner, leaflet and other visibility items for programme and other units
Assist in programme implementation related to Information technology under Disaster Risk Management Pillar
Perform other related duties assigned.
Qualifications and Experiences: At least three years of progressively responsible job related technical experience in information technology, telecommunications or information management. Secondary school education
supplemented by technical training in Computer, Electronics, Telecommunications or Computer technology or other related field desirable.
Must have solid background in WAN/LAN networking, operating systems, telephone services, radio communication and graphics design. Some experience in Geographic Information System (GIS), Databased and client support, such as, a Help Desk or User Support Unit, web design team, telephone maintenance service, hotline, or similar.
Good knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia and English.
