COMMUNICATION OFFICER (CO)
Tropenbos International (TBI) is a non-governmental organization based in the Netherlands with the objective to ensure that knowledge is used effectively in the formulation of appropriate policies and managing forests for conservation and sustainable development. TBI operates joint programmes in partnership with organizations from the north and the south directed at research, capacity building and institutional development based on the needs of forest sector stakeholders in the programme countries. TBI is currently working in Indonesia, Colombia, Ghana, DR Congo, Vietnam and Suriname.
Tropenbos International Indonesia wishes to recruit a full-time Communications Officer (CO), duty Station: Bogor, West Java
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Director, the CO will be responsible for:
• Developing and implementing communication strategies and plans for TBI Indonesia;
• Providing general support to the team ;
• Representing TBI Indonesia in meetings and other events;
• Ensure that TBI corporate identity and other guidelines are followed;
• Develop and produce communication products (including reports, publications, brochures, policy briefs, web stories, press releases, e-news, etc; and
• Work effectively with other TBI offices.
Qualifications and Experiences
Interested persons meeting the following requirements may apply for the position:
• Master Degree in Communications, Forestry, Agriculture or any other applicable field with at least 4 years of experience coordinating institutional communications and or capacity building programmes;
• Fluency in both spoken and written English (with minimum valid TOEFL score 550) and Bahasa Indonesia;
• Proven writing skills;
• Good knowledge of the most common computer programmes (MS Office including, Desktop Publishing applications, web design etc.); and
• Team player with organizational skills.
