TFT - EARTH

TFT is a global non-profit organization that helps companies and communities Deliver Responsible Products (see www.tft-earth.org for more details). We act on the ground in forests, farms and factories to help create products that respect the environment and improve people's lives. The position is full-time and based in either TFT’s Jakarta or Semarang office with frequent travel required. To support our projects to deliver Responsible Products, we are urgently seeking a qualified, hardworking and motivated person to fulfill position as follow:
1.   SENIOR PRODUCT ASSURANCE OFFICER - MILL PULP & PAPER (SPAO- Mill)
Reports to:  TFT Program Manager
Work Location : Jakarta or Semarang Office
Key roles and responsibilities:
·         Prepare comprehensive planning in terms of Training management, monitoring and evaluation.
·         Supervise of monitoring and evaluating system at clients (covering COC, supply chain, risk identification, supplier evaluation and tracking system).
·         Develop and improving in specific measurement related to CoC, tracking system, supplier evaluation and supply chain management.
·         Prepare training management and other forms of technical supports to clients related to CoC, supply chain management, tracking system etc.
·         Analyzingeffectivity of system in client activities regarding of any improvement has been made.
·         Provide Comprehensive report to internal management TFT and Client regarding Training management, monitoring and evaluation and any kind of improvement.
Qualification
·         Bachelor degree in any major
·         Have min 4 years’ Experience on processing (mill) for pulp & paper.
·         Experience on conducted mill and or factory to CoC certification (FSC, PEFC, SVLK and others)
·         Have an experience on planning cycle (PDCA cycle)
·         Have an experience working in the field (forest, factory etc.)
·         Have a deep understanding on supply chain risk identification and mapping.
·         Have deep analitical thinking in any working areas such as Factory and or Mill.
  
2.   STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT MANAGER (SEM)
Reports to:  TFT Project Leader
Work Location : Jakarta Office
Key Roles and Responsibilities
·         Developing workshops aimed at engagement with operations/plantations teams for No Deforestation, No Development on Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) policy.
·         Engagingpartners’ supplierto raise awareness of the NDPE policy and gauge suppliers willingness and capacity to reform its operations in accordance with the policy. 
·         Co-ordinating/facilitating workshops onFPIC, Conflict Resolution and SIA training. 
·         Evaluating workshop regarding of suppliers emplementing activities on company policy.
·         Supporting Social Teams to identify challenges and facilitate generation of solutions.
·         Liaisingwith other NGOfor basical purpose of project and calling for input on solutions or input on additional areas of concern. 
·         Networking with relevant NGO/Stakeholders and linking the works to company
·         Maintaininga service provider (SP) register covering either NGOs or SPs that can support suppliers ensure compliance with company integrated policy. 
·         Collaborating with stakeholder towards consensus on what it takes for the better inclusion of smallholders into the supply chain and start a process of engagement towards consensus.
·         Co-ordinating/conducting the desktop risk assessment of the Palm Oil Hubs.(Refinery/Mills/Plantations) against the WIP requirements. 
·         Overseeing the delivery of Palm Oil Hubs (Refinery/Mills/Plantations) gap assessments against the NDPE and develop action plans. 
·         Co-ordinating the delivery of monthly progress reporting to the Indonesia project lead on all works described above. 
·         Preparing and/or approving reports related to field investigations.
Special Conditions
  • Staffs are often required to work outside office hours to fulfill the duties of employment.
  • This position will require regular meetings with leaders in large, multi-national corporations, as well as travelling extensively in Indonesia to visit palm oil plantations and forests. For this reason, the Program Managershould be prepared to work in both corporate and field settings.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Strong writing& interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a multi-disciplinary and multicultural team.
  • Minimum seven years professional working experience inthe related field.
  • Preferably having working experience in upstream Palm Oil sector (mills/ plantations), as a facililator, working with NGOs, and in managing delivery of programs/ projects.
  • Minimum education is Bachelor degree in any major.
  • Deep understandingin technical, environmental and social aspects related to palm oilindustry.
  • Familiar with social (FPIC, conflict resolutions, SIA training) as well as industry (RSPO, ISPO, NDPE and Risk Assessment)  practice principles.

3.   SOCIAL SPECIALIST (SS)
Report to : TFT Social Coordinator
Work Location : Semarang or Jakarta Office
RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Providing thorough analysis and recommendation for TFT and Clients in creating strong Social Management Programs for their companies
·         Assessing companies’ labor standards, especially in regard to worker right, health & safety, ILO Convention and genderequality
·         Assessing company procedures for securing land from local people, or entering into joinmanagement agreements against the principles of Free, Prior, Informed Consent (FPIC)
·         Training TFT Clients in how to do Social Impact Assessment
·         Conduct social/conflict mapping in various TFT project sites.
·         Develop and implement plans for TFT and clients to settle conflicts in various TFT project sites.
·         Facilitating conflict resolution processes in various TFT project sites.
·         Training TFT Clients in how to set up systems for conflict prevention and resolution
·         Training TFT Clients in how to negotiate with local people in such a way that ensures Free, Prior,Informed Consent (FPIC)
·         Maintain good communications and relations with clients and various respected stakeholders,such as NGOs in Indonesia.
·         Writing Reports for internal and external audiences on work done related to Conflict Management and/or Social Standards
·         Preparing Proposals related to TFT Social Management Work for Business and Donor clients
REQUIREMENT
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa.
  • Ability to understand technical environmental requirements
  • Ability to work with businesses on supply chain and certification issues
  • Master or Bachelor degree in related fields
  • Minimum 4 years in occupational working experience.
  • Understand environmental and social issues related to palm oil production
  • Demonstrate ability to understand technical, environmental and social requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office program.

4.   FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING SENIOR OFFICER(FAO)
Reports to:  TFT FA Manager
Work Location : Semarang Office
RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Report to FA Manager regarding the finances of Setlement.
·         Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
·         Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
·         Compute taxes owed for employee and any supplier transaction and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.
·         Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value and location of property including depriciation of equipment during project settlement.
REQUIREMENT
·         Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia
·         Strong reporting skills
·         Ability to understand financial statement, Taxes.
·         Ability to work with businesses on supply chain and certification issues
·         Diploma or bachelor degree in accounting.
·         Minimum 3 years professional work experience in Supervisor field.
·         Demonstrate ability to understand and implemented accounting and financial policy.
·         Excellent knowledge of MS Office program.

5.   Palm Oil Senior Program Officer (POPO)
This incumbert will have experiences in palm oil plantation assessments, certification schemes and supply chains, and will be articulate and well-organised, as well as passionate about environmental and social issues.
The position is full-time and based in either TFT’s Jakarta or Semarang office with frequent travel required.
Reports to:  TFT Program Oil Manager
Key Roles
·         Collaboration and coordination with TFT staff working to carry out the responsibilities of the TFT Palm Oil Program, which are often dynamic in nature.
·         Working as part of a team to advance the production and availability of responsibly-produced palm oil. This may include tasks such as palm oil supply chain mapping and assessments, evaluating plantations against standards, developing management and training recommendations for companies working toward certification, etc.
·         Research and evaluate palm oil supply chains against responsible sourcing procedures and international certification standards (RSPO, ISPO, ISCC, etc)
·         Coordination witth other NGO’s related to Palm Oil and land acquisition.
·         Report writing, meeting documentation and communications
Responsibilities
·         Assessment of palm oil supply chain from the plantation to the refinery.
·         Clear reports submitted on time, written in professional business language and requiring minimum editing before submitting to clients.
·         Strong rapport and strategic collaboration with TFT palm oil program staffs.
·         System for maintaining all information related to TFT Member suppliers.
·         Regular updates related to certification requirements.
Requirements:
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Ability to understand technical environmental requirements.
  • Ability to work with palm oil businesses on supply chain and certification issues
  • Bachelor degree or higher in Natural Resource, Agriculture or Business-related fields
  • Minimum eight years professional work experience in natural resource management, preferably within a palm oil company
  • Understand environmental and social issues related to palm oil production
  • Demonstrate ability to understand technical, environmental and social requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office programme.
  • Palm oil certification auditor accreditation (ISCC, ISPO and/or RSPO)
