II. Organizational Context and Scope
Under the direct supervision of Project and Partnership Coordinator, the overall supervision of the Head of Sub-Office and in close coordination with relevant units, the Project Assistant will assist in the planning, implementation and monitoring of DRR Project in West Java Province.
 
 
III. Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1.       Assist Project and Partnership Coordinator  in identifying, collecting and analyzing existing national and sub-national government regulations and policies as well as development plan pertaining to DRR and prepare abstracts and translations as necessary; 
2.       Assist Project and Partnership Coordinator in the generation and compilation of knowledge products such as best practices, lessons learned, case studies for policy advice and project implementation;
3.       Carry out identification and compilation of knowledge products pertaining DRR from various external sources and propose dissemination materials of those products as necessary;
4.       Ensure that various official communication e.g. MoU, official letters are compiled in a systematic filing;
5.       Under the supervision of Project and Partnership Coordinator, work together with units coordinators providing them ideas and suggestions for content and distribution channel of various IEC materials;
6.       Assist Project and Partnership Coordinator in identifying various opportunities for synergies with various stakeholders including universities and private sectors;
7.       Work together with Unit Coordinators to prepare and compile notes from official meetings, workshops and seminars;
8.       Act with integrity and professionalism and in accordance with IOM’s Code of Conduct, at all times;
9.       Perform other duties as may be assigned by PM/HO.
 
 
Technical
a)      Demonstrated strong communication skills as well as interpersonal and public relation skills.
b)     Good understanding of national and sub-national DRR system, framework and regulations. Strong coordination and facilitation skills.
c)      Ability to prepare quick and concise reports. 
d)     Ability to prepare clear and concise reports
e)      Proficient in computer applications 
 
 
V. Education and Experience 
a)      Minimum Diploma Degree (D3) preferably in communication, political and social science, information management or related field. A university degree in any of these fields will be highly regarded 
b)     Have at least four years of professional experience in managing and supporting knowledge sharing in DRR or development project, UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders. Familiar with DRR and development issues. 
 
 
VI. Languages
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia both written and spoken. Ability to speak Sundanese is an advantage.
