KINERJA Project, a local governance program funded by USAID focusing on providing service delivery in the areas education, health and economic services is currently looking for Communication Officer according to the
scope of work below.

Position Communications Officer

Duty Station : Jakarta, Indonesia

Objective: Summary of Responsibilities:
The Communications Officer (CO) is a member of Kinerja Project staff based in Jakarta, Indonesia, for the purpose of supporting the project in Papua and Jakarta. The position reports to the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP).

The CO will act as a focal point for reporting and documentation, especially for the Annual Work Plan, Performance Management Plan, Quarterly Progress Reports, and other reports as requested by USAID. The
CO will prepare project publications, presentation material, maintain the project website, prepare project visits from various partners and officials, prepare exhibitions and compiles and documents good practices
from Kinerja project implementation.

Desired Skills:
¡ö Minimum ten years performing similar duties;

¡ö Able to work under tight deadlines;

¡ö High degree of adaptability to varied working environment and good interpersonal and teamwork skills;

¡ö Experience in working with national and provincial governments, as well as nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs); and ability to build effective relationships with all clients, peers, and stakeholders.

¡ö Strong planning, organization and problem solving skills.

¡ö Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

¡ö Ability to work hands-on, independently, and within team in difficult work environment.

¡ö Experience implementing a USAID project, or other donor project in Indonesia with similar duties or scope of work;

¡ö Good command of English and Indonesian communication skills and experience in preparing reports for USAID or other donors; and

¡ö Master degree in relevant field.

Required Responsibilities:
The specific duties and activities of the CO include the following:

1. Take lead role in preparing the Annual Work Plan, Performance Management Plan, and Quarterly Progress Reports, based on the province's priorities and needs relevant within Kinerja.

2. Synthesize and report best/good practices or innovations and other related topics to highlight Kinerja work

1. Prepare concise, informative briefing materials for existing or potential Kinerja counterparts (government, civil society organizations, private sector) and external audiences (USAID, international development partners).
2. Prepare visits of officials, Project information booths and other dissemination material. 
3. Write articles on project updates from field, for highlights and newsletters, to be printed and uploaded in Kinerja Website (www.kinerja.or.id <http://www.kinerja.or.id/> )
4. Liaise with Social Impact for Kinerja Monitoring & Evaluation activities in the five provinces to fulfill reporting requirements.
5. Prepare periodic progress reports and submit to the DCOP to fulfill reporting requirements.
6. Conduct proofreading and editing of technical publication before going to layout and coordinate layout and printing process with external vendors, as required.
7. Compile and write monthly media summaries from local newspaper, to be distributed and uploaded in website.
8. Reach out to projects in the field, communicate to stakeholders to gather details for writing up stories and updates.
9. Coordinate with external service providers (photographers or graphic designers) on special projects as required.
10. Take photographs of projects when needed.
11. Carry out other related duties as assigned by the DCOP and work closely with the Provincial Coordinator to ensure reporting and program implementation duties are fulfilled.
