Bali Children Foundation (www.balichildren.com) provides educational support for poor and remote Balinese children, offering scholarships to more than 550 children as well as direct teaching to many more . The foundation is expecting to grow significantly in coming years.
We require a General Manager who is passionately interested in children's educational development and in building capacity amongst Balinese children. We require a quality focussed, results oriented person.
Some of the main responsibilities :
• Responsible for daily operations -both office (Kerobokan) and field activities in Northern and Western Bali
• Manage a team of 4 full time staff and numerous part time staff.
• Liase with orphanages, communities, QC scholarship programs and teaching projects
• Report to BCF Board for both operations, programs, and finance.
• Implement Board decisions, monitor and report the outcomes
• Manage BCF education projects and external partner projects as required by our Board.
• Manage / responsible for accounting data including budget development and monitoring.
• Manage client and sponsor data, website, correspondence, PR, volunteers and interns
• Manage BCF events and co-joint events with partners
• Work closely with Bali and Australian teams on a daily basis
• Provide timely reports as set out in our schedules.
Requirements :
• Female with a degree in education or related field : psychology, social studies or management
• Highly motivated and independent with leadership skill
• Holding current driving license
• Willing to travel to our projects in remote areas of Bali
• Speaks and writes English fluently
• Computer literate
• Genuinely interested and dedicated to working to improve education for disadvantaged children (poor and remote)
• The position is Bali based.
