Chemonics International Inc.

Chemonics International Inc., a leading international consulting firm, seeks to fill the following long-term, full-time position for a project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Indonesia Changes for Justice (C4J). The primary objective of the C4J project is to improve the performance of Indonesia’s justice system, a prerequisite for good governance and sustained economic growth, through cooperation with the Supreme Court and Attorney General’s Office (AGO) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Communications and Information Specialist

The Communications and Information Specialist is responsible for coordinating communications needs within the project, with counterparts, and with USAID. This position fills a key bridge between the communications team, technical staff, and project management.  Duties include developing weekly and quarterly reports, success stories, stories from the field, updating the project website, and overseeing the implementation of the project’s communications strategy.  

Qualifications :

Applicants for Communications and Information Specialist should have a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in communications. Experience working with USAID or other donor-funded program is preferred.  Experience working with the justice sector in Indonesia, and ability to work independently with senior level representatives, is preferred. A university degree in communications or substantial experience working in the area of communications or relevant field is preferred. Written and verbal fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required. Indonesian citizenship is required. Strong leadership, judgment, interpersonal,and communication skills are required. Demonstrated skills with software packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
