URGENTLY REQUIRED
PROJECT ASSISTANT (1 POST - 1 YEAR CONTRACT, RENEWABLE)
 
The purpose of this post is to provide administrative and technical support to the project implementation of the integrated community development project in Papua that is the combination of the Mobilizing for Life: Protection Papua project; Integral Mission Trainings; and Values, Health, and Livelihood (VHL) Education in Papua – in accordance with World Relief’s policy and strategy in Indonesia.
Position:
  • Reports to the MFL Papua Project Manager
  • Assist the project field team in implementing integrated community development in the Papuan highlands.
  • Co-ordinates with the following other team members in Country Office: Finance Manager, HR Manager, and Administrative and Logistics Officer.
  • Liaises closely with senior officials of organizations in Papua and visitors.
  • Assist Project Manager in managing day to day relationships with Field Trainers, M&E Officer, and Finance and Administrative Assistant.
 
Basic Qualification:
  • Knowledge and qualifications up to Diploma Level in health, social or areas.
  • At least one year of work experience in social service in Papua.
  • Working knowledge of health issues and other community development issues.
  • Effective organizer of people
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong cross-cultural skills 
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility
  • Training skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Analytically skills
 
Preferences, but not required:
  • Ability to speak  one or more Papuan languages
  • Ability to speak and write in English
  • Experience working with donor organizations.
