Vacancy: Scholarships Officer

Nuffic Neso Indonesia is part of a worldwide network of Netherlands Education Support Offices, and is an overseas office of EP-Nuffic, the Netherlands expertise and service centre for internationalisation in education. Its key activities are:

• Study in Holland promotion and student counselling for Indonesian students
• Providing information on study programmes and internship places for Dutch students in Indonesia
• Institutional cooperation
• Market information and analysis
• Holland Alumni network
• Management of scholarship programmes (StuNed, Orange Tulip, EU SHARE)

Nuffic Neso Indonesia is an overseas office of Nuffic, the Netherlands organisation forinternational cooperation in higher education. We are currently looking for a ScholarshipsOfficer for the StuNed Scholarship programme, based in Jakarta.

StuNed (Studeren in Nederland or Study in Holland) is an important programme in the bilateral cooperation between the Netherlands and Indonesia that aims to contribute to human resource development. The target group for the StuNed scholarships programme are Indonesian young professionals and fresh graduates. StuNed provides around 250 full scholarships per year for Masters, short courses, and tailor-made training.

Responsibilities:

ü  Providing information and support to various stakeholders in Indonesia and the Netherlands

ü  Assessing scholarship applications

ü  Handling overall daily administration with regards to the management of the programs

ü  Student counseling (online, phone, one-on-one)

ü  Establishing and maintaining regular communication with various stakeholders (applicants, awardees, Dutch Higher Education Institutions and Indonesian partner institutions)

ü  Consulting with headquarter’s counterpart for issues related with the implementation of the program

ü  Regularly reviewing the procedure and requirements of StuNed scholarships program and suggesting necessary adjustment

ü  Providing relevant information to Team Coordinator for report-writing; and monitoring and evaluation purposes

ü  Reporting to Team Coordinator Scholarships on daily basis and periodically to the director.

Requirements:

ü  Minimal Bachelor’s degree (S1)

ü  Minimum of 2-3 years working experience in a relevant position

ü  Excellent spoken and written English and Indonesian skills

ü  Must have right to work in Indonesia

ü  Strong organizational and problem solving skills

ü  Computer literate especially in MS office applications

ü  Experience with studying abroad and/or living in the Netherlands preferred

ü  Able to work in a team and independently
